Kiwanis Club 5K Student T-Shirt Design Contest Rules
1. Eligibility
The contest is open to students only.
Students must currently attend a local elementary, middle, or high school in the community.
Each student may submit one (1) design entry.
Parent or guardian permission may be required for participation.
2. Design Theme
Designs should reflect the spirit of the Kiwanis Bob Reeves Memorial 5K, including themes such as:
Community
Service
Youth
Health and fitness
Running or walking
The design should be fun, positive, and appropriate for all ages.
3. Design Requirements
Each design must include:
The race name (11th Annual Kiwanis Bob Reeves Memorial 5K)
A design suitable for printing on a T-shirt
Additional guidelines:
Use no more than 3–4 colors to allow for screen printing.
Designs should fit within approximately 10" × 10" print area.
The design will appear on the front of the race T-shirt.
4. Artwork Format
Students must submit designs in one the following formats:
PNG, JPG, or PDF
Digital files should be high resolution (300 DPI if possible).
Maximum file size of 15 MB
5. Original Artwork
Designs must be original student work.
No copyrighted images, logos, or trademarks may be used.
Use of Kiwanis Logos are allowed
The artwork must not contain inappropriate or offensive material.
6. Submission Instructions
Entries must include:
Student name
School and grade
Parent/guardian name and contact information
Designs must be submitted on the BobReeves5K.org website
Submission Deadline: May 1, 2026
7. Judging
Designs will be reviewed by members of the local Kiwanis Club.
Entries will be judged based on:
Creativity and originality
Representation of the Kiwanis 5K event
Visual appeal on a T-shirt
Printability (works well with limited colors)
8. Winner and Prize
The winning design will:
Be featured on the official Kiwanis Club 5K race T-shirt
Be recognized at the race event
Receive a $100 cash prize
Receive a complimentary race registration and recognition from the Kiwanis Club
9. Design Use Rights
By submitting a design, participants grant the local Kiwanis Club permission to:
Use the artwork on race shirts and promotional materials
Adjust the design slightly if necessary for printing
The student designer will be credited whenever possible.
